Roughin' It (Sort Of)...

This year, we celebrated Memorial Day in style. We headed down to Manitou Springs where we spent the weekend camping with the Craig family at The Lone Duck Campground. Now, if your goal for camping is to enjoy the peace and beauty of the wilderness, then the Lone Duck is NOT for you. But, if you're camping with five kids (5, 4, 3, 1, and 5 months), 4 adults, and a golden retriever, then we've found paradise. The kiddos (and the moms and dads) had a blast fishing in the stocked pond, swimming in the heated pool, playing on the playground, and visiting the nearby tourist spots. Here are some highlights from our trip.

What a great weekend! I remember going to Garden of the Gods and that cave with you guys when we were little!

Cool video my friend. Thanks for sharing! When the dude can walk, maybe we'll try out the whole camping concept.

So now I just have to comment on your blog (of course I've been stalking you too!). This is totally the way we camp -- a heated pool is a MUST! Mark and Abby think it's funny, and not really camping, but we think it's great!
