Our Urban Adventure

Since Brad and I are on the same summer schedule, we have been spending a lot of time together lately.  We decided to take a break from Grandma Inge's pool on Monday and go for an urban adventure.  Mom, Payton, Brady, Landon, Brad, Cohen, and I all bought a light rail ticket and rode the train downtown to see where Jayne works.

Payton and Brady have both ridden the light rail before with Oma and Opa.  I have never been on it!

Buying our tickets at the Dry Creek Station.
Brady thought it was awesome to step down on to the tracks.
Landon thought running around with the big kids was awesome.

Boy Cousins! (add in Nolan, Heath, Brooks, and Baby Jansen and that's a lot of boys!)

 Still the only girl!
 My Three Monkeys.
The train pulled up right on time and we hopped aboard.  Auntie Jayne does this almost every morning and afternoon for work.
Oma helped Payton and Brady figure out where we were on the map.  They loved knowing where we were and all the different stations.
Cohen kept belly laughing with excitement.  Wanting to be like his older and cooler cousin, Landon followed suit.

Once we got to the Union Station stop, we hopped off the light rail and rode the 16th Street Mall Bus down to Jayne's work.  We went up and saw her building, then met her downstairs at the Corner Bakery for lunch.

It was VERY hot, as you can see by my sweaty, red faced kids in this picture.
The May D & F Clock Tower rang 12 times at noon.
After a quick lunch and some ice cream sundaes from McDonald's, we jumped back on the smelly bus, back on the light rail, and home just in time for naps!
Thanks for letting us come to see you Auntie Jayne!

Cute outing! Doesn't take much to entertain the kiddos. I"m sure Jayne loved the company.
