Halloween Fun: Part 1

Aunt Gwen and Uncle Tim kicked off the official Halloween festivities for us this year with Rylan & Reagan's Halloween Spook-tacular on the Sunday before Halloween.  Grandma Nancy was in town, so it was a good chance to see her as well.  The kiddos (and some of the adults!) got all dressed up and we headed over to their house for the afternoon.  (Wes had strep throat, and Lando was a super-disaster, so they both stayed home and slept!)

Aunt Gwen planned a bunch of super cute games for the kids.  Brady kept asking "What is the next challenge?  What is the next challenge?"  He was very excited to see what came next!

First up?  Bobbing for apples!  Payton (I mean Pocahontas) went first.  She was very determined...

Then Brady (Darth Vader) and Rylan (the Astronaut) gave it a go.
And then all three!
Payton figured out a more creative way to get an apple.  She grabbed the stem with her teeth.  I loved her resourcefulness!
The boys weren't actually successful, unless you count getting soaking wet and full of slobber, then they won first place. :)

Next up?  Pin the Face on the Pumpkin.  Do you remember playing this game as a kid?  Inevitably, you could always see through the blindfold.  So, you had to decide how close you could pin the tail to make sure you won, but not so close that it looked like you were cheating...or was that just me?!
It certainly appears to me that Payton is taking after her mother...
Brady?  Pretty sure he can't see.  Especially without his glasses!

Aunt Gwen took a turn next.  She got super mixed up and pinned pieces of the face on the ceiling, the floor, and even Rylie!  The kids thought this was absolutely hilarious!
Uncle Tim the Jailbird didn't do much better than his wife...
And what did this little fairy princess do the entire time?
Hang with her Nana and eat snacks of course!
Darth Vader took a turn on the tree swing.  The cape flowing in the wind adds a nice dramatic effect don't you think?

Game #3: Guess the Number of Candy Corns in the Jar.
Guess who was only 2 candy corns off?  Our numbers man, Brady Michael!  He guess 300, and there were 302.  He won a dollar and was very excited about it.
Oma and Opa came along for the fun as well.  They look pretty good I'd say!
We rounded out the afternoon with some driveway chalk drawing and some snacks.
It was a beautiful fall afternoon and the party was the perfect way to use it.
Thanks Uncle Tim, Aunt Gwen, Rylan, and Reagan!
