Mini-Me

Payton has discovered her passion for fashion. The girl changes clothes (and I am not exaggerating) at least five times a day. She'll go from pj's to a dress to a swimsuit to shorts leaving piles and piles of clothing in her wake. This afternoon, I went upstairs to find her changing AGAIN. When I asked her why she was changing, she replied "so I can look like you." I guess I'm ok with the pile of clothes needing to be picked up...

Sledding, Swimming, & A Pizza Party

Our schedule last Saturday:

9:00 AM: Shoveling and sledding in our surprise April blizzard.

11:00 AM: Swimming and splashing at the rec center pool. (taken on Wes's phone, so not very high quality!)

Eating lunch in our bathing suits, note the view out the window...

5:00 PM: Eating pizza and watching a movie in our bed of pillows and blankets. Payton LOVES to move the coffee table, pile up EVERY pillow and blanket in the house, and hang out together.

Any time all three of these activities happen in 24 hours, you can chalk it up to a good family day...

Our Easter Egg-stravaganza!

Yesterday we celebrated Easter Sunday with our traditional day at Oma Bosch's house. We awoke to drizzling rain, which threatened to put a damper on the day. But, we layered on the coats and rain gear and hunted for eggs anyways. I made a movie of our day. No captions or fancy stuff this time. Just a lot of great memories of the day...a delicious indoor brunch, Easter baskets from Grandma Tammy, Oma holding up which color egg to find through the front window so she could stay warm, Brady loving his freedom as he explored Oma's enormous yard, and a whole lot of fun times with our family. What a special way to celebrate God's amazing sacrifice.

Goal #33...

For one of my most memorable high school assignments, I had to write down 100 goals for my life. I distinctly remember that one of my goals was to buy a house with a porch swing. So, when Wes and I purchased 659 Scorpio, I was pleased that I could cross at least one item off of the list. Nothing like hanging out on the porch on warm spring day. Now I need to find that list and see how many more goals I have (hopefully) achieved...

Spare Me...

Last night we took Payton bowling for the first time. She loved all of it...especially the cool velcro shoes. We encouraged her to use the ramp provided (you line up a long wooden ramp and send the ball flying down the lane), but she insisted on doing it herself. Great in terms of effort, not so great for her score!
We had a little battle of the sexes competition, so you can see that C and L (Cara and Lindsay) were victorious over W and J (Wes and Jeremy). P was in a league of her own. Awesome.
