It has become a tradition over the past few years to have an "adults-only" dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. (Funny how the kids have quickly become the adults!) So, Sunday night we headed to Miyama, a hibachi style restaurant in Lone Tree to enjoy their 5280 meal.
Our chef, Jesus, wowed us with his utensil spinning, food flinging, and onion volcano creation...
We all got our chance to catch some flying shrimp in our mouths!
The food was delicious and it was so nice to relax and enjoy an hour or two of kid-free adult conversation.
The birthday boy requested a lemon poppy seed bundt cake for dessert...

Thanks guys. Spending a night out with my kids for my birthday is one of my favorite treats of the year. Thanks too, for the presents. I look forward to wearing my retirement shirt and going to the bike shop to "shop". Only three months to go to retirement. Wow! Thanks again for making my b day special.
