"Stay-Cation" Outing 1: Mini Golf!

Since Wes's busiest time of the year is the summer, going away for vacation isn't something our family can do very often.  Except for things like, you know, Cancun (2013?!)  So, Wes decided to take off the Thursday and  Friday after the 4th for a little mini stay-cation.  We decided to stay home, but do some fun things together as a family.

On Thursday evening, we headed over to Cornerstone Mini Golf Course for some golfing fun.  Payton decided she would rather go to gymnastics with Rosalind, so she sat this outing out.

We all got ready for golfing...even Landon got his own club!  Brady picked a red ball, Wes got green, Landon got blue, and I chose orange.

Brady had a roller coaster of a game.  When he actually took his time and got lined up, he would score a 2 or a 3 almost every time.  When he was more interested in what was coming up on the next hole, he scored an 8 or 9.  Oh well, I guess that's pretty typical for a 5 year old.

Landon just had a blast running around, looking at the rivers running through the course, and putting his ball in the hole, only to retrieve is out immediately.  He thinks he is big stuff when he's doing what the big kids are.

Brady's favorite hole was this one with the big boulders.

And Landon?  He couldn't get enough of this cave.  He kept running around, going back to the opening and giggling his way through the cave.

This was hole #16.  Brady got his first ever hole in one!  Pretty impressive, Wes and I got 2's and 3's.

The last hole is a covered wagon that eats your ball.  If you get it in the small PVC tube just right, you get a free game.  Brady and I both missed, but Wes made the shot and got a free game!  Brady can't wait to use the coupon and mini golf again...
